Asha Harkness | AuDHD Coach Unmasked

You never quite fit in, you feel like an imposter, an alien.

You’ve spent years trying to fit into systems that weren’t built for you.

You’ve:

Masked

Overworked

Pushed through the burnout

Yet still felt like you didn’t belong.

“My clients and I are proof that neurodivergent people can live an easier and joyful life.”

Asha Harkness, Certified Life Coach

Your True Self Is Waiting To Be Seen

As a late-identified neurodivergent person, you’ll have plenty of experiences and messages telling you you’re not good enough…

You unconsciously learn to:

  • Mask.

  • Shrink yourself.

  • Try to get everything right.

  • Help everyone else before you help yourself.

Yet you feel like you’re never quite keeping up.

The overwhelm builds.

Because it’s exhausting to constantly hide your true self.

There are things you really want to do, but you aren’t sure you can ever follow through.

Instead of moving forward, you feel you’re spiralling in circles.

I’m here to help you find a new pathway.

To figure out the first steps together and stay with you as you

take those bold new steps towards the life you really want.

Are you ready to take that first step? To gain…

  • Unique ‘cheat codes’ for your brain, that you can use forever, to put life on easy mode?

  • Unwavering belief that future you has achieved your dreams and had fun doing it (a fulfilling new career, payrise, written that book, working with dream clients, spoken on that stage?)

  • A life where you’re so sure of who you are and how you show up in the world that challenges become learning opportunities.

Asha’s approach:

Neuroaffirming not disordered

  • I work with your neurodivergent brain and needs in mind (if you’ve tried coaching or therapy before, this is different).

  • Learn how we can best support you (because no neurodivergent person is the same).

  • Allow your strengths to shine through.

Lenses not labels

  • I help you to see the invisible barriers that you keep tripping over (which make you feel stuck).

  • Your neurodivergence doesn’t define you. It may feel like it’s holding you back but it’s actually what makes you powerful.

  • Life doesn’t have to be so hard. I love to help people find the fun and easy options.

You have the power

  • When it seems there’s no way forward, we find a way together.

  • I create as much calm and safety as possible so you can step back into your power (in a world that seeks to disempower and marginalise you).

  • I know you have so much more brilliance waiting to ripple out into the world, my coaching stops the overwhelm so you can come home to yourself (which is your biggest strength - being you).

“What have you learnt about your brain and how to meet your needs through coaching with Asha?”

“I’ve learnt it’s okay to ask for adaptations so I can perform at my best and how to vocalise those needs properly. I’ve learnt that. lot of what I feel is normal for someone with my brain. From Burnout To Bloom: Asha’s Story

I had no idea I was Autistic and ADHD until well into my thirties

I had no idea I was in a constant cycle of barely functioning to neurodivergent burnout.

My unidentified neurodivergence impacted every aspect of my life:

  • Work (made redundant x4, severe burnout as a new business founder)

  • Home (couldn’t contribute to upkeep, couldn’t leave home)

  • Relationships (hard to create and maintain, impossible to be my true self)

  • Sleep (falling asleep everywhere until my head hit the pillow, then wide awake)

  • Nutrition (eating disorder as a coping mechanism, hyper-focus ‘forget to eat and drink’ sessions, sensory avoidance)

  • Fun (crippling anxiety and low capacity for enjoyment)

  • Finances (spending for dopamine hits, not knowing my value)

  • Health (anxiety, depression, panic attacks, pushing through until an A&E visit)

Asha, a Brown-skinned woman, smiles at the camera holding her black pug. She's sitting at a wooden bench with a wall and trees behind her.

Knowing I was AuDHD didn’t change anything

I was in severe neurodivergent burnout. Unable to:

  • Do my usual self-care including cooking and eating meals

  • Run my business

  • Get unstuck from the sofa to make myself drink water or use the bathroom

  • Leave the house, apart from to walk the dog or go to bootcamp (cornerstones of my routine)

Asha, a Brown-skinned woman has her back to the camera but you can see her smiling, wearing a glittery outfit in a sunny field. Her pink backpack has a sticker that says: "I just want to say if you are trans and reading this I love you."

How I changed my life

I felt like no one was going to help me. So I clawed my way out of burnout and learnt skills that mean I can face any challenge as a proud AuDHDer.

  • I know how my brain works, where the systems of society trip me up and how to keep stepping forward.

  • I found coaching that empowered and held me until I was ready to walk alone.

  • I set myself up for success with my hormonal cycles, nervous system and neurodivergent needs at the heart of every decision I made.

A cut out of Asha fancing wearing a red skirt and blue top appears five times in a room full of women dancing.

The Results…

  • Got out of neurodivergent burnout and rebuilt my business around my health and happiness.

  • Stopped doing things I thought I should do and started living my true purpose.

  • Walked into rooms with the belief I belonged.

  • Got super visible and spoke up.

  • Stopped spiralling into self-doubt the week before my period.

  • Found enjoyment socialising again, including festivals and weddings.

  • Danced sober in a room full of strangers because I was having fun and not frozen with anxiety.
